Opening July 10 and playing only at UA Tara at 2345 Cheshire Bridge Road NE, The Hurt Locker is a must-see film. Filmed in Jordan near the Iraqi border, this film puts you face to face with the calm and danger of the Iraq War. Leading actor Jeremy Renner, who dropped into Atlanta and Company on his promotional tour for the film a few weeks back, is perfection and so are his supporting actors, Anthony Mackie and Brian Geraghty. As part of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit, they detonate bombs. The film allows you to walk alongside them, ensuring that you will never see a war-time bombing the same. Oscar talk has already begun. An Atlanta tidbit, Mackie just played Tupac in "Notorious" and, of course, the Tupac Amaru Shakur Center is in Stone Mountain. Bottomline: Go see The Hurt Locker.
