The real question is: What has happened to Robert DeNiro? Does he really think this is a movie that he should be in? The only real laughs are at the funeral of the Jewish Hollywood agent who has adopted an Irish surname. There are a few smiles at some of the verbal exchanges during the session with the marriage therapist who is helping DeNiro and Robin Wright Penn to "never want to see each other again" and the back and forth patter between DeNiro and Stanley Tucci who is really good--as Tucci is in all his movies. The move ending is telegraphed in the Brit producer's speech at the Cannes Film Festival when he blasts Hollywood moguls who fail to see the "art" in his films. A movie one could miss and never regret missing.
