If you loved the book, you will love this movie. I laughed. I cried - and I was not the only one in the theater to do that. Can't wait for the DVD to come out. It is a movie I want to keep in my collection. All dog lovers and those who need to be dog lovers should see this movie!

Read the book and felt they did a good job taking it to the screen. Haved been in love with Jen. A. since "friends" so, she's always great to me. Never thought much of Owen W. but he really surprised me in this movie. (but strangest nose I've ever seen on a human face!) Actually, the whole movie was a surprise - I wasn't expecting much and came away thinking it was very good. If you don't have tears running down your face the last 10 minutes of the film - check your pulse.

Why do the critics pan this movie? All viewers seem to love it unless they are shocked by the reality of it and that is wasn't just a goofy happy movie. If anyone has ever owned a big dog...a lab...they can be rambunctious, especially until 3 years old...but with everything they do, they always are there for you and mean to please you. My dog Jerry is my best friend and in so many ways like Marley. I had to put my last lab Jake down in a similar fashion...It was the hardest thing I've ever done...but I got another lab and we are as close as I have ever been... The movie is hilarious...realistic/believable...based on a true story and is a true story of life...This is one of my favorite movies ever and makes me appreciate my dog more every day we have together!
