Wow Lman. Did you really just go all racist stereotyping on Nfarhi09 simply because he disagrees with you and uses slang? That comes across as fairly racist and ignorant. And based on your comments I'm guessing that you haven't even seen Notorious, so what basis are you using to say that Gran Torino is the superior movie? Having said all that...Gran Torino is a damn amazing film!

It's Dirty Harry meets Archie Bunker--with a twist. If Clint Eastwood doesn't get an Oscar for this performance, it will be robbery!

One of the best movies that I've seen in recent past. Clint was amazing. Watching Wally interact with Sue and Thao and some of the others was incredibly entertaining as was watching the movie unfold with him becoming a little more tolerant. It was very refreshing to see a man expect that men act like men. I felt like the more I liked the movie, the more I absolutely had to enjoy and appreciate the film because I don't want to take another moment with Eastwood for granted.

This movie was spectacular! The movie does a great job at spotlighting the today's teenager in regard to how disrespectful they are to adults. After Walt witnesses his the neighbor kids showing acts of kindness, his racial walls begin to melt a bit and he begins interacting with the family and is presently surprised how much he is enjoying himself.

Only Eastwood can get away with all the realistic racial statements;it's too his credit that he doesn't have to align himself to Hollywood's fear of political "correctness; but it's still "Hollywood" as he gets blown up at the end; a good solid movie w/o major stars but for Clint and that's more than enough.
