Chris Tucker
Perhaps one of cinema’s all-time greatest examples of a funny man who was never actually funny, Tucker parlayed turns in “The Fifth Element” and “Money Talks” into a starring role in the “Rush Hour” franchise. That was in 1998, and in the years since then he hasn’t been in one movie without “Rush Hour” in the title.
The films are so bad yet so profitable, his paychecks so undeserved, and his performances so phoned-in that there may be no other actor today whose success seems so overblown.
