Dane Cook

Did someone tell studio executives that an obnoxious comedian with a big college fan base and little acting ability was born to be a movie star? That’s the only explanation for Cook’s horrendous starring roles in garbage like “Employee of the Month” and “Good Luck Chuck.”
He also failed at going serious in “Mr. Brooks” and his turn in “Dan in Real Life” might have been digestible had his character not wound up with Emily Blunt, one of 2007’s great romantic injustices. Cook is only palatable when he minimizes everything that makes him Dane Cook. So, Hollywood suits? Next time please just cast someone else.
