Many people turn to the movies to escape the bad news of the day. Possibly even more so now, considering continued headlines about the crumbling American economy. But “New in Town”—an otherwise light romantic comedy starring Renée Zellweger and Harry Connick Jr.—dives right in to the topic of corporate “restructuring,” as a Miami consultant (Zellweger) sets out to maximize profits at an ailing Midwest manufacturing plant by any means necessary.
