Janet Leigh, "Psycho"

Even before the most famous shower scene in the movies, master of suspense Alfred Hitchcock does his best to titillate the audience with Leigh. The film opens with Leigh’s Marion Crane in her lingerie and Hitchcock’s camera lingers on her as she pockets $80,000. Once the naughty girl is on the run from the cops, we witness seemingly shy Norman Bates peering through a peep hole, watching Marion get undressed. Yet when Hitchcock finally puts us in the shower with her, it’s only a second before the bathroom door swings open and the knife comes out.
