Meet Gordon Gekko (Michael Douglas): The millionaire monster. Rushed into theaters during the final days of the Reagan administration, "Wall Street" took the theory of Reaganomics to the extreme. As young Bud Fox (Charlie Sheen) is taught how to destroy companies and upend dreams in an all-out bid for economic superiority, Stone doesn’t see an efficient form of capitalism so much as a slash-and-burn, winner-take-all equation—a formula that ensures Gekko gets rich even as those like Bud’s father get screwed.
