"Supergirl" (1984)

How it turned out: Surely this seemed like a no-brainer after the success of three “Superman” movies starring Christopher Reeve. But a script so incoherent that Reeve backed out of a planned cameo was only the start of the problems for poor Supergirl, who was outclassed not just by Faye Dunaway’s campy villainess but also the quality of her cousin’s outings.
