Verdict: Mid point

The proof: There’s no dispute that “Pet Detective” was box office hit and truly solidified Carrey’s star status. Yet there is also no disputing the fact that Mr. Carrey attempted to hold a conversation with his ass. More insulting was the barrage of imitations effused from prepubescent boys everywhere. Need we even mention, “Alrighty then”?
