Totally deep analysis: Dave Chappelle eventually earned Richard Pryor comparisons with his inspired, subversive Comedy Central series “Chappelle’s Show,” but this earlier effort (which he stars in and co-wrote) is merely a sloppy bit of irreverence, as much of a guilty pleasure as the sugary snacks a band of glazed-eyed slackers drool over in the opening scene. If seeing a character name his most prized piece of smoking paraphernalia “Billy Bong Thornton” sounds hilarious, you’re probably more than halfway there already.
