There was a time that the name “Eddie Murphy” inspired some degree of respect, and the assumption that a movie starring the former “Saturday Night Live” comedian would arrive packed with laughs. That time, most would agree, was many, many years ago.
Before the arrival of the terrible-looking “Meet Dave” [pictured]—in which Murphy plays a miniature alien living in the body of human-size Dave (also Murphy)—we look back on some of the lower moments for the once-great man behind “Beverly Hills Cop,” “Coming to America” and "Trading Places."
