“Party All the Time” (1985)

It’s been clear for decades that Murphy has little filter for distinguishing good ideas from absolutely horrible ones. One of the clearest, oldest examples is his Rick James collaboration “Party All the Time,” a hilariously cheesy and nasal tune from Murphy’s debut album, “How Could It Be.” That’s a question that would be asked many more times in the coming years, but, man, dig those synthesizers and handclaps.
