Transvestite hooker controversy (1997)

In May 1997, Murphy was picked up in Hollywood while driving his wife’s SUV with transvestite hooker Atisone Kenneuth Seiuli by his side. Seiuli claimed Murphy was interested in her services, but Murphy denied denied denied, claiming he was just being a “good Samaritan” after seeing someone crying on the corner. The story didn’t end there though. It came up again in 2005 when Murphy’s wife Nicole Mitchell filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences.” Sometimes jokes write themselves.
