"The Adventures of Pluto Nash" (2002)

A futuristic flop from the writer of “Hocus Pocus” and the director of “Mighty Joe Young,” in which Murphy plays a man trying to find out who destroyed his outer-space nightclub. The film and its cheesy set design were ready-made punchlines upon release, and although the credible supporting cast includes Rosario Dawson, Joe Pantoliano and even John Cleese (in a small role), it only proves that everyone has bills to pay.
