Woody Allen

Considering a good deal of Woody Allen's movies focus around his belief that he doesn't deserve any of the women around him, Allen has to be the king of this category. Though he's gone down a different path lately with films like "Cassandra's Dream," "Scoop" and "Match Point," in previous years it was clear that as Allen got older his leading ladies stayed the same age (including Helen Hunt in "Curse of the Jade Scorpion" and Mira Sorvino in "Mighty Aphrodite"). But when thinking of the stammering, self-deprecating filmmaker struggling with the beautiful women he loves, we'll always picture Allen and Diane Keaton in "Annie Hall." In that case, of course, the pairing worked perfectly.
