ANNE PARILLAUD as Nikita
A waif-like criminal ordered by law to become a special-ops assassin for the government, Parillaud's protagonist in cult director Luc Besson's French-language thriller eventually questions her sacrifice of a normal life and identity. But there's no denying she's damn good at what she does, and that Parillaud is more effectively steely than Bridget Fonda, who took over the role for the U.S. remake "Point of No Return."
