10 horror remakes worth seeing

"The Blob" (1988)

30 years after the original, which starred Steve McQueen, came this much-maligned remake. Considered a flop at the time, it has cool kitsch value today not only for a particularly amazing scene involving a kitchen sink, but for the appearance of Kevin "Johnny Drama" Dillon as a teen punk. There are rumors of yet another update in the works from the writers of “House of Wax.”
