'Up' inspires us to celebrate grouches
By Drew Tewksbury, Special to Metromix
Movie grumps love to hate new fangled gadgets and rapscallion haircuts. They complain and they kvetch, but despite their huffs and grumbles, we still love the kings of crotchety. In honor of Pixar’s 3D animated flick “Up,” opening May 29, and its newcomer to the grumpitude pantheon, Carl (voiced by fantastic 89 year-old Ed Asner), we present 10 great movie grumps. And remember, you don’t need 3-D glasses to experience movie grumps to their fullest.
If your favorite cinematic curmudgeon didn't make the list, let us know in the comments section below.

I'm thinking an additional classic grump would be Al Pacino in 'Scent of a Women.' He was quite cranky in that flick.
