Took my honey on a double date here as a starting point, to celebrate our anniversary. We did the happy hour cruise, and had a BLAST. From what I hear the food was okay. I know my guests enjoyed the artichoke dip, and the typicall sheese and veggie trays. they did have spring rolls and hot wings, which weren't so hot. The entire staff was fun and attentive to our needs. We drank and participated in the contests with the "Jamaican DJ". We visited every level and enjoyed the music and scenery. Although, short in time, it was the best Friday kick off I have enver had.

We took the early Valentines day dinner cruise, and I was a bit worried after reading some of the bad reviews prior to the cruise. Well those review were inaccurate because we had a great time. The food was good, the djs on both floors were great and the service and views were unbelievable!- You have to pay a bit extra to get a window table but its worth it!!!!!! Highly recommended!

The cruise ship is very outdated and needs to be rennovated. We were seated right next to another couple and we had absolutely no privacy since they shove as many people as possible into a very small space. Throughout the entire cruise the ship rocked back and forth and made my husband and I feel sick. Our dinner cruise began at 8:00 and our dinner was not served until 9:30, the couple at the table next to us were already done with their meals. The food tasted like frozen dinners straight out of a box and the dessert was just as bad. The live enteratinment was extremely corny and the DJ played cliche wedding reception songs all evening. If you are looking for a romantic evening this is not the way to go. My husband and I both agreed that we would have paid money to get off of the boat.

This was the best thing that I could have ever done. We went on a Saturday dinner and my husband purchased the first class package. It is the way to go. We had priority boarding, first class seating, excellent food and the best seats. The entertainment was fabulous and just enough. We danced the night away which is something we normally cant do at a normal restaurant. The servers really love their job and it showed in everyone on the ship. Thank you Spirit for making a normal night out on the town the best thing that we could ever do. We will be back a few more times this year. I heard from a friend that the New Years Eve party last year was the best. We will probably do that.

We took the Spirit of Chicago cruise last Sunday afternoon to view the Air & Water Show, and were very pleasantly surprised! Although the boarding procedure seemed to be a little confusing, everything else went very smoothly. Apparently once a reservation is made you are assigned a table on the boat, however, everyone was in a huge hurry to board the ship trying to get the best seats. If the reservations people made this clear, there wouldn't be such a mad rush to board prior to the cruise.

The serving lines to eat were a little slow and again, the directions to get in line for lunch weren't very clear, so everyone scrambled to eat all at once which made for longer buffet lines.

Great atmosphere, good prices, definitely would recommend this tour - we'll be back next year!
