BY FAR this restaurant is the best kept secret in the city of Chicago. The food has never disappointed, the service has always been excellent, and the prices are reasonable given that it's a hotel restaurant. I've been there for dinner several times, including NYE, and brunch is fabulous too.

$10 for the weakest, most watered down drink I've ever had. If you go get a martini, the mixed drinks are just not worth it.

After staying one night, the French decor is modern and beautiful. The architecture really makes you feel like you are in another world. For a 4 star hotel, all of the services we exceptional and expected. I will certainly be staying there again.

At last a REAL FRENCH restaurant in Chicago. From the food to the service & style, almost everything is French (NOT the breakfast). I am a Parisian, just moved to Chicago. THE PERFECT PLACE. The creme brulee is the real one, light, moist and not made to order but kept in a glass fridge,as conventional. The chocolate mousse is exactly like at home, using the right dark black chocolate.Real taste of the real MOUSSE.Staff perfect, discret, just like in France.Thank you so much for not keeping my water glass filled, by a rude buzz boy stretching his arm right on my nose instead of going politely around the table.Waiter does not suddenly cut off your conversation but wait for you to finish what you r saying. Great space and usual trendy French deco; no extra heaters that over heat your head in winter and prevent you from tasting the wine. + no extra sugar or salt in dishes..at last.

I booked our first anniversary here, expecting European style and good service. Sofitel provided the style and much more. Service from the staff was excellent--four bellmen pulled open the doors for my wife, and one chased after us to offer an umbrella when we were leaving in the rain. The modern-style suite was killer, with stylish furnishings, the best bed I¿ve ever had the pleasure to meet, and nice touches throughout. We ordered a simple breakfast, but everything was a notch above the rest: The coffee was pressed, orange juice fresh-squeezed, the croissants light and flaky. We¿ll be back.

My husband, sister and brother-in-law just returned from a week-end stay at the Sofitel and it was truly lovely. The service was excellent, with charming French women behind the reservation desk, very helpful concierge, attentive bellstaff and very congenial waiters. Although our rooms were rather small, they were beautifully decorated in a contemporary fashion and the views from both our rooms were great. The fresh orchids in the bathroom is a wonderful touch. Our room was an excellent value and included breakfast at the Cafe de Architects where the food was excellent. I would recommend this very well located hotel to everyone.
