The Hard Rock Hotel Chicago is the music mecca's first urban hotel (it has six hotels in resort destinations, including Orlando and Las Vegas) and has revived the historic Carbide and Carbon Building, originally designed in 1929 by Daniel and Hubert Burnham, sons of famed Chicago architect Daniel Burnham.
The new hotel features hi-tech amenities, including CD/DVD entertainment systems, Nintendo game stations, high-speed Internet and Wi-Fi in all guest rooms. The China Grill, a popular Pan Asian restaurant with locations in New York City and Miami, is located on the hotel's first floor.
