Korean Street Festival

African Festival of the Arts
Aug. 29-Sept. 1: Billed as Chicago's largest neighborhood festival, this 19th anniversary celebration of the African influence in America features three performance stages, plus ethnic cuisine, vendors, fine arts and more.
Taste of Polonia
Aug. 29-Sept. 1: A festival celebrating Polish traditions includes live entertainment, polka dancing, arts and crafts, food, beer and more.
Ukrainian Village Fest
Sept. 6-7: Neighborhood street fest features a beer garden, ethnic eats from Ukraine, raffle prizes, games and live Ukrainian music.
Festival de La Villita
Sept. 11-14: The 19th annual fest, celebrating Mexican independence from Spanish rule, features carnival rides (Thursday through Sunday) and live music, food vendors, arts and crafts and more on Saturday and Sunday.
Ginza Holiday: A Japanese Cultural Festival
Master craftsmen from Tokyo sell jewelry, clothing and other wares at this 53rd annual fest on the temple grounds. Highlights include taiko drumming, folk dancing, martial arts demos, art exhibits and food and beer vendors (Kirin and Bud Light).
