Celebrated author Sandra Cisneros (“The House on Mango Street”) created a special ofrenda (altar) for the 23rd annual exhibition, dedicated to the late Chicago community leader Arturo Velasquez Sr. and billed the largest of its type in the U.S. Local participating artists include Salvador Jimenez, Immy Melin, Jesus “Chucho” Rodriguez, John Salhus, Pablo Serrano and Roberto Valadez.
