Trinity Episcopal Church will host a discussion about how to support a friend or family member who receives tragic news. Sometimes words help and sometimes words are less important than showing compassion and companionship. Discussion will be about what you can do to offer real, tangible support to someone who needs it. The talk will be divided into two topics: 1) In times of suffering/illness; and 2) around times of death/loss. The speakers will be Rod Accardi (Director of spiritual care resources at Northwestern Medicine/Central DuPage Hospital) and Karen Pugleise (Board Certified Chaplain at Central DuPage Hospital). Doors will open with a brief reception beforehand at 6:30 pm. Speakers will start at 7 pm. Please RSVP at 630-665-1101. This is the third event in the “Conversations That Matter” series.
