Experience an evening of music from acclaimed composers who were way “ahead of their time”. Jean Sibelius’ hauntingly beautiful yet melancholy tone poem Tapiola, Op. 112, is paired with Hector Berlioz’s Symphonie fantastique, Op. 14, subtitled “Episode in the Life of an Artist, in Five Parts”. Berlioz's ground-breaking work, in part auto-biographical, was described by Leonard Bernstein as the first musical expedition into psychedelia.
