Artists explore and express their connection with Judaism in The Spirituality of Color, an exhibit of paintings, ceramic sculpture, fiber art, photography and poetry opening Nov. 5 at Arthur Feldman Gallery. The work resulted from the Artists’ Beit Midrash, a course of text study and art discussion at North Suburban Synagogue Beth El. The exhibiting artists are: Lois Barr, Sam Bernstein, Enid Brick, Sylvia Dresser, Nessia Frank, Trudy Isbitz-Brodsky, Brenda Jackson, Judith Joseph, Betsy Katz, Michael Katz, Ruti Modlin, Bonnie Price, Judy Solomon, Sandy Starkman, Steven Tovian, Phyllis Woloshin and Laura Zacks. The Artists’ Reception is free and open to the public 5-7 p.m., Nov. 11. The gallery is open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and Sundays by appointment. The exhibit continues through Dec. 30, 2015, when it will be moved to the Rissman Family Kol Ami Museum at North Suburban Synagogue Beth El, 1175 Sheridan Rd., Highland Park, IL (Exhibit dates: Jan. 7- April 3, 2016).
