On June 6, 1944 at 6:40 a.m., the men of the Sixteenth Infantry Regiment, US First Infantry Division hit Omaha Beach. And the course of the war in Europe changed. Robert Mueller, author of “Fields of War: Fifty Key Battlefields in France and Belgium and Fields of War: Battle of Normandy,” speaks to re-visit that fateful day. Mueller uses period and contemporary photographs of battle sites, and stories of the brave individuals who stormed the beach that day. Register for this program at the website or call the library.
