Dominican University presents a program on the exorcism film genre and its relationship to religion and contemporary society. The program is held until 9:30 p.m. and includes a panel discussion by three Dominican professors and the screening of The Exorcist (1973). The panel discussion before the film screening includes: Father Richard Woods, professor of theology; Timothy Milinovich, assistant professor of theology; and Christopher Olson, adjunct instructor in communication arts and sciences, who examine why the film is so highly regarded and why it still has the power to frighten 40 years after its initial release.
