Jewish Child and Family Services Foster Care is a contractor for DCFS, responsible for placement and stabilization of special needs children and youth who are wards of the State of Illinois, ranging in age from birth to 18 years old. A “special needs” diagnosis means that a child is in need of clinical, educational and possibly, medical services that will assist in their stabilization, which frequently will result in returning to their birth home environment.
