What does it mean to ask whether or not the Bible is true? How should biblical texts be interpreted? How have they been interpreted? As we think about the historical value of the Hebrew Bible, we will also survey the major schools of biblical interpretation and the political positions that have motivated them. The presenter is Rachel Havrelock, who is Associate Professor of Jewish Studies and English at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
