This is an intimate portrait of prima ballerina Wendy Whelan as she prepares to leave New York City Ballet after a record-setting 30 years with the company. The film opens with 46 year-old Whelan battling an injury that kept her from the ballet stage, and facing the prospect of retirement from the company.
