“The Teahouse of the August Moon,” released in 1956, runs two hours long, but is not rated. The cast includes: Marlon Brando, and Glenn Ford. The story is about a solider who is sent to Americanize a small village on Okinawa. Gradually and ultimately, the soldier becomes assimilated to the local customs with the help of his interpreter and a lovely young geisha. This showing takes place in the Baxter Room Auditorium.
