8 p.m. Havdalah; 8:20 p.m. Movie Discussion; 10 p.m. Nosh and Schmoozing; 10:15-11 p.m. Selichot Worship. The group begins with Havdalah and then watch clips from Gentleman’s Agreement and discusses how its themes of Anti-Semitism, identity, and whether or not the events in France, Belgium and the U.S. require Jewish people to ask what has and hasn’t changed? Similarly, are the messages of prejudice and responsibility still relevant today? Gentleman's Agreement is a 1947 drama film about a journalist who poses as a Jew to research an exposé article on antisemitism in New York City and the affluent community of Darien, CT. RSVP by phone.
