Sensei Rachel Lavin, a Fifth degree Black Belt in Karate, and First degree Black Belt in Jiu-Jitsu and Eskrima, conducts a self-defense and high intensity martial fitness class created only for women. No prior martial arts experience is necessary, but participants need to bring water to stay hydrated, and wear comfortable clothing. Contact the Japanese Culture Center at for reservations.
