The 26th annual cultural event, billed as the largest Scottish festival in the Midwest, features a Friday night ceilidh (Celtic dance party) and numerous competitions, ranging from Highland dance to heavy athletics (hammer throw, sheaf toss) to piping and drumming, youth sports and knobby knees (men) and haggis-hurling (women). Also, check out British cars, live music, whiskey tastings, Scottish and American fare, a Celtic marketplace, mini-golf, kids activities and more. The fest closes with a concert by 1,000 bagpipers and drummers.
Festival closes at 10 p.m. Friday; 9 p.m. Saturday.
