WHO'S WHO OF CHICAGO CHEFS & RESTAURANTS REPRESENTED AT JUNE 11TH RECIPES FOR REBUILDING ST. BASIL CHICAGO, IL --- Chicago's top chefs and restaurants have joined the fundraising effort to rebuild the fire devastated St. Basil Greek Orthodox Church. Coordinated by Jimmy Bannos (Heaven on Seven Restaurants), RECIPES FOR REBUILDING ST. BASIL will showcase over twenty-three restaurants on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, from 6-9p.m., at Galleria Marchetti 825 W. Erie Street (just west of Halsted). This is the second year for Recipes for Rebuilding, where in 2013 the successful event drew over 400 guests. This year will feature previous and new chefs and restaurants. Participants include: Anteprima, Foodlust, Avli Estiatorio, Bar Toma, Bottlefork, Carmichael's, CelloVia Artisan Liquers, Chicago Cut Steak House, The Florentine, Fountainhead, GT Fish, Gibson's Steak House, Greek Islands, Mexique, Pan Hellenic Pastry Shop, Phil Stefani Signature Events, Piccolo Sogno, Psistaria, Riverroast, Rosebud, Shaw's Crab House, Tavern on Rush, and Urban Belly. Others are still being confirmed. In addition, the 2014, James Beard Rising Star Chef Award Winner, Jimmy Bannos, Jr., will make available favorites from his successfully popular, Michigan Avenue restaurant, The Purple Pig. Proceeds from RECIPES FOR REBUILDING will go to the St. Basil Fire Restoration Fund. Reservations are $85 per person and include food sampling, beer, wine, and soft drinks.
