Acclaimed alt-country singer Anna Fermin is joined by Forest Park's own the Redmonds and young newcomer Hope Rose to raise money for Proviso Together, which is backing three independent reform candidates for the Proviso 209 School Board. Anna Fermin is well known as the front woman for the Chicago alt-country band Trigger Gospel. The band toured internationally and has released five albums, including the Jay Bennett produced Oh, the Stories We Hold. Anna has opened for many notable artists including the late great Johnny Cash, David Crosby, Neko Case, and Steve Earle, an early inspiration. Anna's most recent ep is Someday Afternoon, available as a digital release on itunes, Amazon and her website. Playing everyting from Johnny Cash to Civil Wars and the Lumineers, Forest Park's own The Redmonds perform as an acoustic duo featuring the impeccable harmonies of Mike and Katie Redmond, as well as a full band with some of the best musicians in the region. Hope Rose is a promising young country singer/songwriter, only fifteen years old, from Forest Park. She has performed at Fitzgerald's and other local venues, and just finished recording a CD sampler of her songs.
