The word “privacy” does not appear in the U.S. constitution or in its amendments, yet, the Supreme Court recognizes a right to privacy. From government to big business to junk mail, is privacy under assault? Are technological advances and the world we live in destroying traditional notions of privacy? Can civil liberties and security co-exist? The course will examine these questions and other privacy issues.
