Picosa celebrates the Fall 2015 launch of the new album “Looking Back: Flute Music of Joseph Schwantner,” with a concert at 7 p.m., Nov. 5 and at Gottlieb Hall, Merit School, 38 South Peoria Street, Chicago, at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 14. The album features Picosa Artistic Director and flutist Jennie Brown, pianist Jeffrey Panko, and friends. General Admission $25, high school students and younger are free. Accompanying parents receive a discounted ticket of $10. College student and senior discounts available. On Nov. 14 the featured Interludes Chamber Ensemble will be York Community High School students Tessa Vermeulen and Hannah Widmaier performing the Quantz Trio Sonata in c minor for flute, violin, and piano at 6:30 p.m. Flutist Jennie Brown chose to feature Schwantner’s works on her new album. For all donations brought to the concert, the ensemble gives a discount of $5 off of full-priced tickets.
