For forty years, Gertrude Stein's Left Bank home was a Saturday evening gathering place in 1920s Paris for expatriate American artists and writers, most notably Pablo Picasso. Entree into the Stein salon was much sought after, and Gertrude Stein became mentor, critic, and guru to many. Betsey Means portrays this fascinating woman.
