This play, created by 20-Percent Theatre Co.'s artistic associate, Laura Nessler, and directed by company member Amy C. Buckler, "captures the personal drama embedded in a tipping point in American history," according to promotional materials. The setting: March of 1965, when "the blood of civil rights activists runs in the streets of Selma. Moved by footage of Bloody Sunday, two women travel to Alabama to join the fight and discover that the movement's challenges, as well as their own, are more complex than they realized." This is a world premiere production.
