Chicago musician Kahil El’Zabar launches OOHnow.org, which he describes as "a global culture network/e-commerce platform for the arts," with a one-day arts and music party at Venue One. Headliners are described as "masters of multiple arts disciplines," including: Nona Hendryx, Rashid Johnson, Corey Wilkes, Sandro Miller, El’Zabar, David Murray, Stephen Burns, Marc Ribot, Lucy Slivinski, Jamaaladeen Tacuma, and DJs Terry Hunter and Ron Trent. Also happening is the OOH Pop-Up Gallery and Market, also from noon to midnight. (The OOH Talks will take place from 2 to 5 p.m., and the OOH Concert will take place from 7 p.m. to midnight. “This multi-media event allows the audience to explore physically what they will be experiencing virtually in the new OOHnow.org community,” according to El’Zabar's website for OOHnow.org, "a global group of creative thinkers and makers," with El’Zabar at the helm.
