Inspired by the “unholy trinity of horror movies (The Exorcist, Rosemary’s Baby and The Omen),” Nightmares On Lincoln Avenue 666: The Exorcism of Rose Mary’s Omen pays a deep homage to the formulaic structure and tropes of classic horror films from the late 60’s to the mid-80’s. Fans of horror movies, who-done-it mysteries and haunted houses will be rolling over in their graves with laughter at this over-the-top, modern tribute to the classic horror films that set the standard for their genre. Be sure to bring plenty of booze to this BYOB night of comedic terror and suspense! One dark and stormy night, a three-tailed comet rips through the cosmic sky, casting a sinister omen over eight strangers who share one commonality: the Mark of the Beast. Gathered together for a masquerade party at the possibly-haunted mansion of an eerie nanny, Marian Joseph, these strangers soon learn that by the end of the evening, one of them will be revealed as the child of the Devil. Nightmares On Lincoln Avenue 666: The Exorcism of Rose Mary’s Omen is written by Kallie Noelle Rolison, directed by Marla Jacob, and produced by Corn Productions. Nightmares 666 runs at 8pm, Thursday/Friday/Saturday evenings October 9th through October 18th, and Wednesday/Thursday/Friday/Saturday evenings October 22nd through November 1st at Cornservatory, 4210 N Lincoln Ave, Chicago 60618. Ticket price is $7 Wednesdays, $10 Thursdays, and $15 Fridays and Saturdays. Tickets can be purchased online at www.cornservatory.org, or reserved by calling 773-650-1331.
