NAMI Kane County North sponsors the NAMI Family-to-Family Education Program for families, caregivers and friends of those diagnosed with serious mental illness. This 12-session series runs through May 2. Covered information includes schizophrenia, the mood disorders (bipolar disorder and major depression), panic disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, borderline personality disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD); coping skills; listening and communication techniques; problem-solving skills; recovery and rehabilitation; and self-care around worry and stress.
