Northwestern hosts a justice of South Africa’s highest court. Justice Edwin Cameron discusses South Africa's constitutional commitment to freedom of expression, including freedom of the press and other media, which is expressed in section 16 of the Bill of Rights. Cameron offers a personal account of the exciting and sometimes daring decisions South Africa's highest court has handed down. As part of his legal work, Cameron has been a gay-rights and HIV/AIDS activist.
