Up to 9,000 cyclists embark on a 25-mile social ride through city neighborhoods and along the lakefront path starting at 1 a.m. Sunday morning. The 24th annual "long after twilight ends" (aka L.A.T.E.) ride ends around sunrise Sunday and features pit stops for snacks, cleverly decorated steeds and a festive atmosphere from start to finish.
VIP perks include a first-wave start and more.
Before the ride, hear live music and participate in the annual Best Lit Bike and Best Decorated Helmet contests.
Route information: From Buckingham Fountain, ride through the South Loop, Chinatown, Greek Town, several North Side communities and along the lake.
