This 18th annual 5K Run fundraiser typically averages over 2,500 runners raising funds along Chicago's Lakefront in search of a cure for leukemia, lymphoma and MDS. The event is named after former influential ABC7 investigative reporter Jim Gibbons, who lost his battle with Leukemia in 1994. Proceeds will benefit the Leukemia Research Foundation.
