Screening the jazz documentary “Lady Be Good: Instrumental Women in Jazz” with a post-screening talk-back with audience members led by filmmaker Kay D. Ray. Tickets are $12 ($10 for Music Institute students and families) and are available at the Theatre’s Box Office, by phone or online at the website. “Lady Be Good” traces the musical contributions, journeys and obstacles of American women instrumentalists in jazz from the early 20th century to the 1970s. Also, Music Institute of Chicago’s Sixth Annual Jazz Festival: Women in Jazz performances upcoming at the Nichols Concert Hall, runs from Nov. 19 through Nov. 21. These single concert tickets are $30 adults, $20 seniors and $10 students, available at brownpapertickets.com/event/1996214. Audience members at the “Lady Be Good” screening receive a $5 discount on every Jazz Festival ticket.
